Is it possible to connect - via a phone-USB adapter - a fixed phone handset to a PC in order to carry out a Skype-type conversation?

Any suggestions welcome.

I have somewhere, a USB box that you plug a regular phone into, and yes, it does work with Skype. It's supposed to also switch between the land line and Skype call automatically, which it never did.

I retired it because it was carp and bought a wireless Skype phone.

Seen them at Panthip, a fixed handset is nothing more than a microphone and a headphone in its most basic makeup...so yes its very possible.

or you can just get a mic, and you can talk like a speaker phone....thats what i do.
