Hi all,

I have read a few posts on this but as you can imagine, I am always a little paranoid about losing something that took such a lot of effort to get!

I have a British passport and need to get a new one, as I am very nearly out of space.

In my passport I have a 3 month Non Imm B issued in KL and an extension for 1 year (valid until July). The extension was done outside of Bangkok.

Once I receive my new passport can I go to the immigration in Chaeng Wattana (as I now stay in Bangkok) and get the visa and extension moved over to the new passport straight away? Is there any paperwork that I need to bring with me or just my new and old passports, and do I need to pay anything to get this done?

Your help as always is much appreciated.

There is a form to transfer stamps to the new passport, in Nonthaburi it was free, but am sure I have seen posts where people have had to pay for this service.

They put two small stamps on the first page, detailing the visa and the last extension, also the whole thing takes up around 2 pages in your new passport.

Your extension of stay office would normally be the location for transfer - if you have moved you really need to change your address (what are you reporting on 90 day address reports).

I have reported my current Bangkok address on both of my latest 90 day reports, at least that is what I wrote on the forms!
