Ais Remaining Data In Plan Sometimes Goes Up. Why?

Featured Replies

Just curious if anyone else experiences this or has an answer: I'm on a 150GB/month plan with AIS. When I use the *139# USSD code, I'll get a remaining balance. For example, 122 MB. The odd thing is that on several occasions I have checked later (like the next day) and gotten a remaining balance that showed a few MB higher than the inquiry the day before (like 128 MB in this example.) At first I thought I had just remembered wrong. But now I've had this occur on at least three separate occasions. You'd think for something like this, the remaining balance could only go down. Any ideas what's happening here?

Yeah, if dreams were wishes. Maybe 150 MB? ;)

Could be anything, perhaps something wonky with AIS or perhaps as a result of a post-settlement transaction? With a lot more detail maybe someone could offer further conjecture? If it is troubling you, you could pop off an email, or ring them, to AIS as they are quite responsive.

i can confirm I have seen this happen before also, but it has always been in my favor so I never worried too much about it.

Does AIS have any unmetered sites? If so, maybe any data you use is immediately subtracted from your total, but once they consolidate the data usage, any traffic to unmetered sites is credited back?
