Jomtien Beach Hotels

I will be staying in Jomtien Beach for a week or so at the end of May, beginning of June. I have stayed several times at the Jomtien Boathouse (soi 8 on Beach Road) and have found it to be a good value, good location, and good food (a fairly good menu selection of both Thai and Western disheS). It's about 1050 THB/night for a nice sea view room on the top floor.

Does anyone know of other hotels in that immediate vicinity (same price range - a bit more is OK) that I might want to try? I like Jomtien much more than Central Pattaya. I'm a forty something, not a twenty something, so that 24/7 craziness doesn't work too well for me any more. I like to have a few beers, play some billiards. The area seems just about right for me.

I would be grateful for any suggestions - just to try something new. Thanks.

Google - Villa Thongbura and Grand Residence - I've stayed in both - they are back from the beach but good modern clean rooms. Price for low season is always good.

The Jomtien Thani looks nice for sure. A wee bit more than I would normally pay, but probably worth it. I will give it some consideration. (and btw, I love your Scottish comment )

How about one of those rooms above Country Road? After closing out the bar you can crash and burn there and get an early start on your billiards game the following day!! lol
