That's how far it is from my ear, strategically positioned to send 80% of it's blast to me. The papaya plant that's on the noise's way does not absorb much of it. Now, the broadcast are 6am - 8:20am. Yes...the thing is that the folks living in the house permanently, sleep on the other side of it since it was built - before the loudspeakers. They are also awake by the "news" time anyway. It's only me, an occassional visitor, who is bothered. "Our" room is reserved, locked and only for us when we come. It's was meant to be in a "special" position.
