Nbox

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy an "nbox" (for playing movies on TV from a hard drive or thumb drive) in Chiang Mai, please? And if so, where?

panthip plaza has a wide selection, as do the shops at central airport plaza...am not familiar with that particular brand

Many thanks.

As easy as that, huh? A friend mentioned 'nbox' to me the other day and I hadn't heard of any other brands. Thanks again!

Could it have been DreamBox?

just checked that amazon link and indeed, it is inexpensive.... however, it does not show full HD and there are usually reasons that something is 94th out of 100 items in popularity... good luck finding that particular brand here in CM... it might be worth it (if you are convinced that is exactly what you want) getting it shipped in by amazon.

BTW ... dreambox is more of a hack device for tv stations, than a media player/server

Ah, I see.

Note that it doesn not come with a hard drive; you'd need to add a USB hard drive. And you probably want one that's not limited to 720p resolution. And maybe that's network connected so you can easily send files to it.

Some Dreamboxes do all of that, but they're also satellite tuners.
