South Pattaya Drug Distribution Network shut down by DSI and Narcotics Officers

PATTAYA:--A three month investigation into an illegal drug distribution network operating within the South Pattaya entertainment area, including Walking Street, has resulted in the arrest of 18 people, 14 men and 4 women along with the seizure of Marijuana, Crystal Methamphetamine and Cocaine.

Officers from the Department of Special Investigations (DSI) and the Narcotics Suppression Bureau conducted an undercover operation to purchase a block of Marijuana from one of the gang members at a price of 3,000 Baht on Tuesday Night.

Following the successful sale, over 50 officers moved in and arrested the 18 individuals, many of them sell toys to tourists on Walking Street but also sell drugs to them should they require them.
