Small plane crashes in Switzerland, killing 6 < br /> 2012-04-30 00:14:07 GMT+7 (ICT) TATROZ, SWITZERLAND (BNO NEWS) -- A small plane carrying six people crashed in western Switzerland on Saturday afternoon, killing everyone on board, local police said on Sunday. The cause of the accident was not immediately known.The accident happened at around 3 p.m. local time when the single-engine Piper aircraft crashed in a field in the municipality of Attalens, which is located in Fribourg canton in western Switzerland. The aircraft came down not far from several residential houses in the area.Fribourg police said emergency crews recovered four bodies from the aircraft while two other bodies were found nearby in the field, apparently as a result of being thrown from the aircraft upon impact. The victims were four men and two women, although their ages and identities were not immediately released.The aircraft was flying from a small airport near the city of Lausanne, located in Vaud canton, to a small airstrip in the town of Ecuvillens, about 38 kilometers (23 miles) northeast of the crash site.
