Gun, bullets and condoms seized from man following East Pattaya Police chase

PATTAYA:--A gun, ammunition and a selection of condoms were seized from a man who was caught by Traffic Police after a short chase.

Police Major Tabanna from Banglamung Police Station held a press conference to announce the arrest of Khun Manatpong aged 30 who was arrested after he was chased through the streets on his motorbike which then became a foot-chase as he attempted to escape.

The suspect was found in possession of a semi-automatic handgun and 63 bullets in three magazines. The gun was recently purchased for 85,000 Baht and the license is currently being processed according to the suspect and later confirmed by Police. In addition a failed urine test confirmed the suspect had recently ingested methamphetamine. Khun Manatpong sustained a leg injury during the chase which saw him climb a high wall in his attempt to escape.
