230 Baht 1,2 Call Credit Disappeared/Lost ! On Nokia Basic Phone ?

Recommended Posts

Last time I checked my simple Nokia mobile phone , last week, I had 230 credit from the 1,2 call card deposit. This is a back up phone I dont make

calls on . But I get a lot of messages that are disregarded. Today there is zero credit ???

Not sure about 1-2-Call but with DTAC the credits you buy have an expiry date. From the limited amount of time you use your phone to place calls, it sounds like you've gone past the "use by" date. DTAC sends a message informing me that my remaining credit will expire in a day, but they also have a service where I can extend my expiry date by up to 180 days for about 12 baht of the remaining credit. I would think 1-2-call has a similar service.

What is the service reply when you enter *121# SEND/Call?

You can register on the One-2-Call web services platform, perhaps with the help of a Thai person, in order to view account details, charges, etc. Or you may have to go to a full service AIS shop and ask for your account details.

You may have inadvertently been enrolled in some service, or have GSM data enabled (1 baht/minute), which has eroded your balance. Or perhaps your service was disabled for failing to have activity within 90 days, or.....

There are not nearly enough details to trouble-shoot remotely.

Do you have whatsapp running on a Nokia? I found out the hard way that it does not close properly and is constantly on, using up the credit.

OK thanks - Im not very technically savy in this department . But going to the Nokia phone shop .. Get back to you on this.

If you have a pre-paid SIM from One-2-Call you should go to a full service AIS shop. I'm not sure a Nokia shop will be of any help?

What do you get when you send *121# ?

Do you see a "G" or "E" on the top line of your phone's display?

What is the exact Nokia model number?

Was referred to the AIS customer service at Big C Pattaya Klang , Pattatya.

The girl checked online and told me that the 50 baht 1,2 call card expires 5 days from deposit date and the

100 baht card is good for 10 days. So I just deposited 100 baht and sure enough it is only good for 10 days.

Have never had this problem before in 2 years and on my other Nokia phone that I just topped at 250 baht, the minutes are good

for one year. It seems somehow that something changed on this phone spontaneously ? Whatever it was I want to

reverse it. Dont see any letters (G) on screen or model #. These phones are the most basic (blue/white) Nokia makes.

You have been using your credit up faster than it expires, so when you top up you add days to to your current expiration date. At some point you reach the maximum of 365 days. As an analogy, with each top-up you keep filling up your glass to the top (full glass = 365 days), and probably pour out a few days in the process. A 500 baht top-up adds 75 days.

If the OP would just enter *121# and press SEND, and then report the result, we might be able to determine the issue. As it is I have little desire to assist people who seem unwilling to provide even the simplest of detail.

There is no send tab on this most basic phone. And you can be sure that the customer

service people are not very helpfull . Ready to change sim/companies.

The "send tab" is the CALL button.

*121# = the balance , And as in above Im getting : 100 baht expires 17- 5- 2012 . So actually 14 days.

No when any girls are visiting the phones are secured, 2 lost phones was enough.

But again , as in above post . I just deposited 100 baht from 00 credit and *121# = 100 baht ,17- 5 -2012

Maybe this is the latest scam

OK, based on the rather disjointed responses from the OP I suspect their balance simply expired. That is to say, the expiration date came, and any remaining balance was wiped out. This is they way it is supposed to work.

Maybe best to get one of those famous TrueMove InterSIMs which give 365 days with a single top-up of as little as 10 baht?

The expiration dates when making 50 & 100 baht deposits are not the same on these two model 1200 phones : On one of the phones the 50 & 100 ( 1-2 call AIS card )deposits are good for one year. Which used to be the case for this other phone until recently. Now the same deposits expire in 2 weeks on this phone in question. So I just went on a bs runaround from the AIS customer service at Big C who referred me to Tuc Com on PattayaTai for a new sim card that is good for one year.

At this booth they tried to sell me a 1-2 AIS sim card that had 1 year written on it. Well I checked it with a 50 baht deposit and it was only good for one week - more bs.It seems the new AIS sim cards have expiration dates much less than one year. If this is the way they are supposed to work then I must have been lucky in the last 6 years with sim cards that have one year exp dates from any baht ( 50,100. 300 ) deposit.

my internet package costs 799 a month + vat so around 860 a month

usually i put in a 1000 once or twice a month

hardly make calls if not necessary /business related

i use data package as much as possible ,talk with friends in real time on line ,whatsapp, skype and msn etc

it started out as a phone ,but now sometimes i could forget its a phone ,because of all the other mediums i can communicate with people on smile.png

btw : my credit always lasts a year before expiry ,my sim is about 8 months old if that matters (ais )

OK thanks for the information. Guess ill be looking for a True Move InterSIMS. I assume they are less than 500 baht.

I just got the full story from a customer service person at this good number: .AIS1175 with good english.

The one year plan is now obsolete for the new AIS sim cards. That of course explains why on one phone with the older sim card and older 1 year plan ( for any denominated deposit) I get one year. With the newer sim card on the other phone - the limited time periods. This plan change is obviously for the benifit of AIS.
