No idea re Doi Suthep, but is this Monday (7th) a public holiday - Coronation Day?

Yes. Today (May 5) is the actual day, but as the holiday falls on the weekend, Monday is the public holiday.

Be a good spot to catch the perigee full moon tonight. Maybe (with some luck) we can catch a meteor or two. Good night for star gazing and moon bathing. I might join them.

Need to climb the mountain to escape the tidal wave that tonight's "supermoon" will cause.

Hmmm ... and this week-end.... after so many nice clear days .... will be rainy/stormy and cloudy ... good luck

Thats an achievement even on a motorbike.

Hope the toilets are still open when they get there.

So, will the walking actually start the evening of Sunday 03June (& extend into the return trip the early morning of Mon 04June for those who are late or slow)?
