Hi all, When I get my tourist visas sorted from Aus and arrive in Thailand when do you apply for the 30 day visas??? I will be staying around Phuket/ Krabi and Koh Samui. Cheers.

If you are talking about extending a tourist visa issued by a Thai Embassy/consulate at the end of a 60 day stay then you can do it at any time during the last 30 days of the entry. You can do it at any immigration office for a fee of 1900 baht.

You will also need a passport size photo.

It doesn't matter when you renew in the last 30 days as you will not lose any days, the 30 day extension starts when the 60 days ends.

Pretty sure Phuket has an embassy/consulate..... What about Krabi or Koh Samui???

You need an immigration office, not an embassy or consulate. Also, you are applying for an extension of your permission to stay, not a visa.

As said you will be applying for a 30 day extension of your permision to stay.

Phuket, Samui and Krabi all have an Immigration Office.

I guess my question is not worth to open a new thread so I just hijack this a little bit, sorrry.

Do I need to have a flight ticket away from Thailand when extending my permission to stay? I'm finnish citizen if that matters. Also, if anyone knows where would be good service at Pattaya to get that extension so I don't have to go to immigration myself let me know, if not I'll just try to find to the immigration myself

If normal 30 days on tourist visa no but if 7 days on a visa exempt it is occasionally asked (but not often lately I believe).

30 days on tourist visa is what I'm after. So I'll get it without flight tickets, thanks.
