Paint In The Color Of My Car (Aerosol)

Featured Replies

I am reparing some cosmetic damage on the body of my 22 year old Honda car.

Now I try to buy some paint in the same color as the car's color.

My non-official Honda repairshop: You go to official Honda dealer.

Official Honda dealer on the 11: Mai mi.

You can order in Bangkok? Mai dai.

I also visited a big paintshop along the 118 but they only sell a container but I want to spray it myself (with an aesosol).

So my question is: Where is car body paint sold in (as?) an aerosol?

Sorry for my poor English, I hope aerosol is the right word for a can with a nozzle on top.

If you car is 22 years old, even if you had a spray can of the original color, it wouldn't match because of 22 years of fading in the sun. The only way to get a good (perfect) match, in my opinion, would be to have the whole car painted.

An option that you might consider, depending on the location of the area needing paint, would be to choose black or silver or another complimentary 2nd color for a two-tone job. Local professional painters should be able to do this for you for quite a bit less than doing the whole car. Doing it yourself with spray cans would look quite bad, I'm guessing.

There's a paint supply store on Charoen Muang Rd. just past the Nawarat Bridge that sells Leyland auto spray touch up paint in spray cans. They have paint charts of all the Japanese auto manufacturer's colors. Don't know how many years this goes back but it's worth a shot. Spray a test sample on a sheet of paper and see how close it comes to your car's aged color.

Thanks guys for your advice and sojourner also for pointing me to a shop.
