Sony Psp Or Nintendo Ds ?

Featured Replies

Hi Members,

i should be happy if somebody can help me.

I need a birthday present for my son. What Portable you recommend? The PSP or PSP Vita or Nintendo DS ?

Where can i buy this in Bangkok ( Pantip Plaza ? ) ? The price ?

Thx you all in advance.

Regards

TOM

This is a difficult question. I can tell you that I have both PSP and several versions of the Nintendo DS (the DS,DSi, DSXLand the 3DS) The resolution on the PSP screen is much better, but oddly I never use my PSP even though I have many games for it that I bought at MBK. When I am on vacation I often use my Nintendo DSi. I think because the games are fun and easy to play.

My understanding is that the Nintendo DS by far out sells the PSP.

I think though both are losing ground to android phones and iphone/ipad

You could get a 3DS if you get a DS. New and improved version that can still play the old DS games. DS can not play 3DS games

A DS alone should be about 3500 baht and a 3DS 5900. A bit more if you buy a pack with memory card. Here is a site with some prices

PSP should be around 5000. There is a new PSP out too, the PS Vita, that is around 10k.

As for which one to get...that is tough. They are both really good and have good games I'm sure he'd enjoy. Maybe try to see if he has a preference

Don't youngsters prefer the iPad these days? :)
