Farang Living In The Nort And The South

im just curious, is there any differences between farang living in the North for example Chang-mai and the one living in the South like Phuket.

when i say different i don't mean looking like aliens, i mean cultural wise.

I am in the south, eastern side of the gulf and I spent a few hours with the whipping boy himself the other week, he is of course located in a more northerly direction.

I must admit I found my own southerly self to be more cultured.

I wonder what he has to say in his defence.

It seems to cost a little more to live in the south, so lets say we are definately the wealthier cousins

Oh most definitely Tukyleith, being a southern-living person myself I think we are much more cultured. We are also much more relaxed. "Chillin on the beach" as it were.

I agree Tukyleith. I revisited our chats and I said the "f" word twice for every time you did.

In my defence however, I was substantially more aware of Thai culture and customs, did not pinch that waitress, and was aware of many of the nuances of the girl pouring the beer.

Go ahead and argue about North and South 'farang' culture.

I'll just settle for the North East with the best weather, the lowest prices, and the least stress by letting culture take care of itself.
