Agree - most will not cover you unless locked out of site - eg. in the boot and it would need to be specific cover for that sort of value.

Suradit69
who in their right mind would leave that kind of money in a car overnight? People who got it all insured a month earlier ?? What sort of insurance would cover Baht 30 million in jewelry left in a car parked in an insecure location? Insurance companies are in business to fleece their clients not hand out cash like a broken slot machine. Someone walking into an insurance agents asking for coverage for B30 million auto insurance or property insurance would certainly raise some warning signals and if the insurance were issued, it would be awash in security requirements. It's the same sort of thing as the farang walking on Beach Rd in Pattaya at 03:00 in the morning who claim their bag was stolen and it contained 7 mobile phones, B80,000 in gold, $100,000 in foreign currency and their room key to a Baht 300 a nite hotel. Many of the farang criminals who find their way to Thailand don't seem to be all that bright (although apparently brighter than the police and immigrations officers in their own countries who ask Thailand to find them).
