No real rush to get there and back and no real need to be pp... Don't fancy kl or Singapore tho...

Friend went last month to get his double entry. They told him they are not giving double entries and told him to use a service. He paid to use a visa service and then got only a single entry. So check things out. It was a long trip from Chiangmai. Good luck.

Same as my experience - no multiple entry TVs in PP. New sheriff in town...

For the single, go to the guard shack in front of the embassy, leave your passport and picture with the guard, and agree on the price (was 60 USD, all in, February this year), and pick it up two days later.

Also, of I spend say 5 weeks out of Thailand does it make it easier to get more double tv's?

No difference, they will review passport and consider of how many visa in your passport.

For me, Vientiane is still very convenient to get to.
