Fair Play Of The Season?

Featured Replies

Am I missing something, but what was unfair about the first goal in the first place?

Yes it was a fluke, and a goalkeeping error, but that doesn't make it unfair!

The ball was played out due to an injury, by the team in yellow.

The team in red shirts play the ball back to the keeper as a goodwill fair play.

By coincidence the ball bounces over the keeper and the team in red scores a goal instead of delivering the ball back.

So the team in red decides to let the other team bring the ball from kick off, all the way to their own goal.

Seems like a scam to boost both teams goals scored, in case they are equal on points and goal difference with other teams at the end of the season

That was the only thing I could think of, but the clip didn't show the injury or ball being played out. That being the case, yes, a good example of sporting behaviour.

Not sure the whole team was quite happy to do it, the keeper sure looked like he was trying to save it.

Yes that is correct.

The keeper disagreed with rest of the team to allow the unlucky team to have a goal.

And to Brit1984: A scam?

Really?

The fair play is not arguable, however it was an awkward moment of the goalkeeper. He should have taken the responsibilty.

Anyway, well done for being a gentleman.

I can't see this being the case. For a start scoring one then conceding one will make not any difference to goal difference. It would only have an affect if it came down to goals scored. Seems like a rather outlandish conspiracy theory to gain one extra goal scored.

If the game had been in certain other countries i'd possibly agree.
