Democrats Deny Claims They Backed Arson Attack In Songkhla

the whole idea of 'red shirt villages' only serves to cause division

Agreed, and that is the whole idea of them.

I don't agree that it's the whole idea of them to cause division,

i meant the whole idea, as in the whole notion of them... as a figue of speech, not in a way to mean, the whole plan of 'red shirt villages' is only to cause division.

Agreed the villages them selves have no idea what they are getting or what it is all about. All they know is if they vote the way the red shirts tell them they will get some money.

Korkaew Pikulthong said it's too dangerous to go out at night in the area of a red shirt village. That I can agree with.

Of course you have examples which you can share with us as to how dangerous it is - I shall look forward to those "tales".

Why don't you contact Korkaew Pikulthong your self. Oz Mick was just repeating what he said.

"We have no evidence of the arson because it was dark and too dangerous to go out at the time of the incident."

There you go one of your own buddies saying it and being as the area had a red pavilion on it I would think it was one of the safest places to put it. For a red shirt.cheesy.gifcheesy.gif

if anyone is truly in favour of democracy and reconciliation they would outlaw any red or other "villages"

They are divisive and intimidating and have no place in a true democracy

Fact be known take away the money they get paid for their votes and the propaganda that Thailand had no democracy and there would be a lot less of them.

and this assessment of it being too dangerous comes from a guy who's lived through the dangerous environs of prison life.

Much the same, but without the prison guards to maintain order. Or force them to clean up the area.
