:o They have a good range of professional support there.

More good news if you are doing a professional shoot big or small in Bangkok there are always rental houses at a good rate. Whenever I am there doing shoot I would rent what I need from Gear Head.

Thanks.... that may be an option. Are they in MBK as well?

Would anyone know if there is a good source for carbon fiber tripod and head in Bangkok,  or is it better to buy one in the US before I leave?

If you can buy and carry, better to buy in US. The price might be cheaper and you have plenty of choices.

I wish I could go to US to buy some accessories (flash, Cokin filters). Maybe someone is willing to buy and bring for me from US, I'd pay here in Bangkok. :o

Thank you for the lead.  Maybe I will get lucky and they will have a used one.

I don't think they have any used tripod there. Foto Thailand (3rd floor of MBK) used to have good line-up of Gitzo tripods including carbon-fiber ones (but as heavy as aluminum tripod of other makes) but they don't seem to sell Gitzo anymore. Fotofile/Foto Thailand doesn't have good selection of tripod/monopod compared to other supplies they have.

Does anybody know if/where I can find Velbon Carbon-fiber tripod in Bangkok?
