59 year old motorbike driver killed in Pattaya road accident

PATTAYA:--Four vehicles were involved in a fatal road accident on the Sukhumvit Road in Banglamung on Sunday afternoon.

A 59 year old motorbike driver, Khun Suree, was killed and her 3 year old granddaughter was injured and rushed to Hospital. Police determined a Black Toyota Vios, driven by Khun Gae aged 30 was the vehicle which rear-ended the motorbike that was crossing the four lanes of the Sukhumvit Road into the u-turn slip lane.

The two other larger vehicles involved in the accident are believed to have come into contact with the Vios which then stopped suddenly in the fast lane. Police arrested Khun Gae and detained the other

Yes, but patience is required. People do have a habit of just moving across multiple lanes on the assumption that everyone will see and/or stop for them. I don't know what happened in this instance but have narrowly avoided many such bikes moving from behind a car unseen from a lane to my left right into my path and even at normal speeds braking takes time and distance.

Thais have this attitude that ' if I can see you, you can see me'. The trouble is that it doesnt always work.

Absolute <deleted>. This is a normal human "attitude" and is not specific to Thais. What in the world gave you this idea?
