Tourist Visa To Non B - Visa Extension At Same Time

Featured Replies

Hi, I am looking for some help regarding my double entry tourist visa to a non B, I hope someone can help me.

I have a double entry tourist visa, first entry expiring on 28th May. I think I can get a 30 day extension to this at Immigration in Bangkok, is this correct?

If this is correct, can I also convert it to a Non B Visa at the same time? I think you are meant to have 21 days remaining on your visa for it to be converted to non B, so in this case I would need the extension before converting to a Non B?

My company have given me all the documents i need to convert so just need to know if i can extend for 30 days in Bangkok first and at the same time convert to a Non B visa? I still have one entry remaining on my tourist Visa, would i be better leaving the country and converting to a Non B that way?

What will the costs be to extend and convert?

Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance for all your help.

You can try to convert without getting an extension. If you lucky, immigration will convert without giving you an extension first. But you will need the WP3 form form the labour office to do so.

Immigation might send you to Bangkok to do the conversion, or just plainly send you abroad to get the visa.

an extension always costs 1,900 baht.

a conversion costs 2,000 baht.
