Short Circuit leads to major cable fire inside Central Pattaya slip-road

PATTAYA:--An electrical fire sparked chaos and led to a road closure in Central Pattaya on Wednesday Night.

Police immediately closed off a slip road leading from the Central Pattaya to Sukhumvit Road and businesses nearby were told to evacuate their premises as a precaution.

A short circuit in a cable junction occurred which developed into a fire which was brought under control by arriving Fire Rescue Units who used foam to put out the fire which caused considerable damage to the cables. Many who were at the scene suggested the response by Fire Rescue Units was particularly slow and they appeared unable to put out the fire in a speedy manner
