Hi, everyone!

I have a 8 months old chihuahua and it is having first heat.

The problem is she seems lost her appetite and has stopped eating since last night.

Besides she's started vomiting, diarrhoea from this morning.

My wife says it's just because "she is in her first heat".

Any advice?

its normal , when some dog/cat/pets have heat and lost appettute.. it was from

1 homonoal changes

2 she just want to "go out" for XXX , makes she get upset and does not want to do anything ..(even eat)

ps, about vomit 'n diarrhea must happend from other cause ..

She vomits whatever thing she swallows.

Should I take her to nearest vet?-she still wags her tiny tail everytime her name is called.

its correct ... its  common question that i always  get when  the  owner start to worry when  thier dog lost of  appettite during estrus cycle

whats kind  of  thing she  throw up? if its food and  happend after  eat ..we call "regurgitation" ..happend  when  dog  eat so fast ,  and/or more  activities after eat (other cause for example,  esophagus prob..etc)

emm ..maybe  u'd wait and  see for  few days.. in my opinion.. i think she  is  fine

well im off clinic now.. just finish to remove masses from dog

my questions are

1 how often she vomit?

2when she start to vomit (age)?

3 how greedy she is?

4how fast she eat?

if its happend often ,u'd take her to see a vet for xray with barium (i mean if she eat less, slowly..and still vomit )

btw .. i recommend u to lebel on the calendar about her estrus cycle, (normal dog has 6-8 mth per cycle ...if 10mth+ = abnomal)

I guess she( bitch) is getting through her first heat and doing a lot better than yesterday.

She started walking and sniffing around my house-stopped vomiting and gaining her appetite(apparently).

Well.., I guess she's going to make it.

My wife and I were pretty much worried and thought about taking her to vet.

Without your advise it would have been harder waiting morning to come so we could take her to the vet.

This very moment she is sitting under my computer chair and taking a nap!
