I am looking at shipping a 20ft container to the UK from Thailand. Does anybody here have any experience with this, idea of prices and time. Also any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

What sort of price would you be looking at sending one to the UK? I am going back to the UK later this year and I have a few beds and a lot of household items and clothes that I would like to take back. The 2 beds alone cost nearly £2,000 so I am still wondering if it would be worth the hassle and money to take them back or just try and sell them here.

It was about 800 GBP iirc from UK to BKK takes about 4 to 6 weeks. There are conditions about loading etc., your time is limited (about an hour i think) and it stays on the lorry unless you hire a crane to put it on the road. There are port handling fees and customs to consider too. By far the best plan is to use a good freight forwarder and ask plenty of questions so you don't get caught out.
