Peterocket
Can anyone confirm 100% if the Phuket Cable companies will be showing Euro 2012 on any of their channels? Astro Sports, Euro Sports or the local channels? Wondering if it's worth buying the GMM box or not.
stevenl
I would expect it to be on the Thai foc channels.
bubblegum
It does not show in the TrueVision magazine so my guess would be normal Thai TV
Lannatyne
I understand it like this: Viewing rights in Thailand are ONLY for Channel 3 and Channel 9. If you view C3 and C9 via an aerial, then you WILL see the matches. If you view C3 and C9 via cable, then you WILL see the matches. If you view C3 and C9 via True, then you WON'T see the matches. Rawai Cable have sports channels, which normally include Eurosport, AstroSport 2 and 3. Other Astro sport channels make fleeting appearances on Rawai Cable. I'm hoping that amongst all the above options on Rawai Cable, I can see a reasonable number of games.

OK, this is the one i wanted to know. It's just that elsewhere I saw that the cable companies would only air it if they had made payments to GMM or something along those lines. Thats why i thought it might not be on in Phuket. Now all i need is to employ someone from the UK to sit next to my TV and do his own commentary.... hansgruber
Just saw at Tesco that you can buy a Grammy set top box that is plug and play for 1500 baht. Didn't read the fine print but ill be putting it on at that price. Has some amazing channels that ubc doesn't have, including euro 2012.
