Thai Coins - Where To Find Collector Set?

Featured Replies

Hey, I've searched the net, and this forum and found very little info on where i might buy a set of thai coins. In particular, I'm looking for current year 2555 (2012) coins, in a royal thai mint issued set. Ideally, the full set of 10,5,2,1 baht coins, and 50,25,10,5,1 satang coins. However, it looks like the 10,5,1 satang coins are fairly rare, and uncirculated, so they may not be as easily found/available in such a set.

I'm currently located in Canada, so I'd love to buy this online. However, I visit occasionally so knowing where i could go when i come back would be great. Or, if some enterprising forum member knows where they can be had, and would like to make some extra $$, I would be happy to pre-pay if such a set could be acquired and shipped to canada, in addition to compensating you for your time.

One thing I'm not certain on is if any year 2555 coins have been issued yet. Perhaps someone knows the details on that?

Thanks forum members,

You will find coin sets available at many Thai Post offices

There is a shop on the ground floor of MBK at the far end (Tokyu) that deals in coins and notes, sets old and modern.
