June 11, 201214 yr I know the drill when it comes to finding hardware pieces in Bangkok - just walk into every mom-and-pop shop you see and hope they have the trinket you're looking for. I've tried that for the past few days when I'm out, to no avail. So if anyone is a regular hardware shopper, can you tell me if you've seen these for sale, and where? Is there also a Thai name for "conduit hanger" or "pipe clamp" or whatever other English names there are for this?
June 11, 201214 yr I thought I saw some in Chinatown here in BKK. If you want to know how to call them just use google translate. On the second box ( the translated one ) you can actually listen how it is called. But I should try Chinatown. Good luck
June 11, 201214 yr Only an assumption but would guess if you put these two words together.... Clamp = kheemM neepL http://www.thai-language.com/id/206982 water pipe; exhaust pipe; pipe = thaawF http://www.thai-language.com/id/146883#def4 Possibly the better option to avoid issues with accent is to print the picture or transfer the image to your phone. They need to be fairly common. They used pretty much the same clamp on my balcony to hang the close line pole from the ceiling.
