Jockstar
I used to use Ad aware for years. But now they have bundled Anti virus with it. I installed it the other week without realising this and it conflicted with my avast. So i got rid of it. What would be a good alternative to Adaware? Thanks. GuyL
or HitmanPro http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro If I am not mistaken, it's not a free software (at least, for the removal functionality, after the free trial 30-day period).

MJCM
^^ True but I've been using it for at least a year and never had to activate the program. For example if tracking cookies are found I don't delete them via HitmanPro but via for example CCleaner. I use Spybot also but only for the Immunization feature (Hosts etc etc) but I regularly scan my system with Hitman in addition to other Security programs just as a Second Opinion program.
