200,000 Baht stolen during Bag Snatch in North Pattaya

PATTAYA:--Late on Sunday Night along the North Pattaya Road, a bag snatch occurred resulting in the loss of 200,000 Baht in cash.

The bag belonged to Dr. Jirapan, who works at Banglamung Hospital. He was with his family at the time when two men on a motorbike approached the Doctor as he walked back to his car after spending the evening at a restaurant. The two assailants then left in the direction of the Sukhumvit Road. The incident was reported at Pattaya Police Station who are warning people in Pattaya to be on alert at this time

No I don't go to the bank much. I use my Thai credit cards for large purchases and pull out small amounts of cash from the ATM when needed. On the rare occasion I need to make a large purchase with cash I don't go carrying it around town while I eat. A little common sense will stop a lot of grief.
