June 12, 201214 yr Lots of travellers rave about EVA to LHR and US/CA on TV I just noticed they are upgrading their Business class called Royal Laurel - lay flat beds etc, just started on the NYC flight and LAX and they say all 777 aircraft will be upgraded- all seems great.............. HOWEVER lots of folks on this forum like their Premium Economy product which is currently 40" seat pitch with the new lay flat product they have changed the prem Y to 38" pitch. New http://www.evaair.com/NR/rdonlyres/7C217621-4BA5-4764-B0DF-4AF602DCB8FE/0/B777_300ER_312_Seat.jpg Old http://www.evaair.com/NR/rdonlyres/955267CF-52CE-44E5-8E19-D1CCEDEC8219/0/B777_300ER_318_Seat.jpg Thought I'd share for those folks who like this product, change is coming.
June 13, 201214 yr I currently tend to fly LHR-BKK in business and premium economy for the return as it's the cheapest way for me to sleep over night and sit in comfort coming back. Hopefully they won't bump the prices up for this new cabin.
June 13, 201214 yr Premium Economy/Elite/Evergreen Deluxe has always been 38" seat pitch or certainly on the UK routing.... Edited June 13, 201214 yr by Chivas
June 13, 201214 yr I think I'd notice the 2" way more if we were talking about the difference between 31"-33". The difference between 38"-40" doesn't bother me so much . . .
June 13, 201214 yr According to seatguru, Elite is 40" and Deluxe is 38". I think I can cope with the loss of 2", but I do like being able to sit cross legged and might not be able.
June 14, 201214 yr Will the new Laurel seats be on either the BKK-AMS or LHR routes in November? Looks like next year.
June 17, 201214 yr Looks sweet...was waiting for EVA to go full-flat. Looks to be complete on all routes by next summer...about the time for my next trip Stateside.
