June 15, 201214 yr Rangoon and the Arakan State capital Sittwe are under tight security on Friday amid rumors that there might be protests and then violent attacks after Friday prayers at mosques in the two cities. Rangoon residents said the police are patrolling the downtown core, especially in predominantly Muslim neighborhoods. There were also reports that some mosques will not be holding prayers today.
