550 Police Officers attend riot training course in Jomtien

PATTAYA:--550 Police Officers from around the region took part in riot training at Nong Nooch Gardens in Jomtien on Thursday.

The officers were put through their paces by training staff in preparation for a mobile cabinet meeting which is due to take place between 18th and 19th June at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort. Although there have been no specific threats from any protest groups Police want to be fully prepared and have used the opportunity to train it’s officers in UN-approved riot control tactics, should they need to be implemented on this or any future occasions.

Officers from around Police Region 2 were given instruction on how to use riot shields and batons to control angry crowds
