I like to try different hotels while in Bangkok sometimes, I'm leaning more towards this 1, staying here for 2 nights. How is the restaurant/bar on the top? Any personal experiences?

I'd recommend checking tripadvisor.com also...

Last month I stayed at the newly opened Eastin Grand Sathorn next to Surasak BTS. It's great because they have a direct link via a walkway to the BTS station and i'd highly recommend it because they've got some good deals at the moment and even chucked in a days pass for the BTS for my family. Nice rooms, food was great too.

I have stayed here twice and would recommend it, rooms are modern and bathrooms are a decent size. I haven't been to the restaurant on the top so can't comment on that.

Millennium : stayed there many times. They have their own shuttle boat to Sapan Taksin BTS station. The breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets are very good. You have a great view of the city from this side of the river. The 360 bar is a very nice jazz bar with also a fabulous view all over the city. Love it.

Have stayed there a few times now and would HIGHLY recommend the hotel. 2 of the stays were for anniversaries, which I mentioned on only the first booking as I thought it may give me a better chance of a free upgrade. The 2nd time we went back (a year later, funnily enough) they put us in the same suite and also reserved the same table by the window for dinner. After both meals, they bought out a small anniversary cake too.

The pool is really nice, if not a bit small, and has got sun beds actually in it. The club lounge has great views of BKK too.

I am heading back to BKK at Christmas and will be making sure I spend at least 2 or 3 nights there.

Hope you enjoy it.
