Work are just about to order my new 'company car' this week, which was chosen for me (not really worried as I'm not paying and it fits the bill of what i need and require!) - 4 door 2.8 Colorado LTZ

Anyone on here got one?

What's it like?

How long did it take from order to keys in hand?

What freebies are on offer?

Thanks

H

Sometimes a little bitchin' can help...I only test drove it back in October last year, felt good enough that I've even ordered one,but than canceled it when the New Ranger showed up...the reasons:

1.The Ranger(2.2XLT) was 100K cheaper for almost equal models.

2.The interior and exterior bigger in Ranger

3.The fuel economy better in Ranger(2.2L)

4.The Ranger just looks better....

...but you can get Chevy sooner and it is a good truck IMO...

I have the 2.8 Colorado LTZ 71 4x4.

It's a fairly hefty pickup, but it goes ok. Plenty of power when you put your foot down, but rather sedate at low revs.

Because it is hefty and low road noise, speed can be deceiving. Easy to be going way faster than you think.

Brakes are a little on the spongy side.

Interior is leather (light brown) and nice enough.

Stereo is good and lots of storage space.

I didn't really negotiate for extras. I paid the deposit and had the car in 2 or 3 weeks. Got free tinting and bed liner.

I preferred the 3.2 Wildtrak, but they quoted 2013. All the current trucks are decent. For me it came down to who could deliver - Ford, Chevy or Isuzu and Chevy won.

I 'ver got z71 4x4 crew cab Ltz

Pro:

It is a GM (if you like and care American heritage)

12 km per liter highway and 9-10 city

1 tank upto 1000 km

Decent interior

Stronger resale value than Ford and Mazda (previous years data)

Con:

Choppy ride in rear when compared to my previous top of the line Navara

Poor After sale service in some province

Share similar part with Isuzu but some are just back order

No DVD and rear camera (if compared to its twin Isuzu)
