In the distance he saw a cloud of dust. Eventually he saw the sheriff with his posse. They reined up and the sheriff told Roy, Last night, three men escaped from jail, they raped you wife and then killed her. Roy said, " I had better get back home then" The sheriff Said " Just a minute Roy, Some rustlers ran off all your steers". Roy said" I must be getting back home" The sheriff said," Hold on a minute Roy, The Indians came and burnt your ranch to the ground" Roy said, "I must be going now".
