Hi,

I'm coming to Thailand for a work (if i will pass the interview this month).

I'm a Filipino CPA, 24yo, male and offered to work in Advance Agro in Bangkok, Thailand particularly as Internal Auditor.

I post here for some questions. Can anyone answer or advice me?

1. How much is the cost of living in Bangkok Thailand?

2. How much is the minimum pay for an Internal Auditor?

3. Baht 27,000 (net of tax and others), i have to spend for my food. Is this enough?

4. Does working in two companies lawful in Thailand? (1 fulltime and other 1 is parttime).

5. Does Advance Agro a good employer?

6. Are the foreign workers (professionals) protected in Thailand?

7. Do they have laws for the minimum benefits of a foreign workers?

8. What papers should I have or get to be able to work in Thailand? Although my employer will be the one who will process the necessary papers.

Hope you can address this questions.

Thank you.

Sounds rather strange to me.

Why would any Company in Thailand need a foreigner – let alone a 24 year old foreigner – in a position like Internal Auditor, there are thousands of locally qualified Accountants and I would imagine that fluent Spoken Thai and reading skills would be essential for such a position.

You will have some problems living on a nett salary of Baht 27,000.- too, after paying for accommodation and food there will be little if anything left over.

As you will come for the interview this month. I suggest that you should clear all the issues with your employer in order to decide conscientiously. I have heared about this company for being quite well-known in Thailand. Just give it a try...The conditions you need depend on your own ability and performance.

Good luck.
