I have done quite entensive research but found nothing as good Thaivisa. This yank has been living in Bkk for the last 7 years and he thinks he needs a change. The plan is to move to Rio. It is just that I have been here for so darn long. Cost of living seem to be comparable. It is true that personal safety is a matter of concern in Brazil.
Thaiquila Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Also not aware of any similar Brazil board. There is a great board for Buenos Aires Argentina, www.baexpats.com though. What do you want to do in South America, work, retire, etc.?

Not any more than it is in Thailand. You just don't wander around the back streets of Rio etc late at night after having a few too many.
Florin Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 I think Thailand is one of the few cities where you CAN wander the back streets at night in relative safety...
