Maybe you might consider Ireland instead, if so im sure we could arrange to swap lives, id only be to happy. I have to warn you its a little bit colder than Brazil, will this be a problem.

In fairness, I like Thailand just as much, if not more since first arrival. It is just that I have been here for so darn long.

Cost of living seem to be comparable. It is true that personal safety is a matter of concern in Brazil.

Also not aware of any similar Brazil board.

There is a great board for Buenos Aires Argentina, www.baexpats.com though.

It is true that personal safety is a matter of concern in Brazil.

Not any more than it is in Thailand.

You just don't wander around the back streets of Rio etc late at night after having a few too many.

I think Thailand is one of the few cities where you CAN wander the back streets at night in relative safety...
