Bosch Car Battery

Featured Replies

Has anyone used them before, are they any better than the local brands? I saw they were more expensive than the local brans like 3K, GS and Yusa ect, is it worth the extra money?

We have had many discussions here about battery longevity/life. Is the Bosch you are considering a wet battery ?. Wet batteries l have had last 2 years and basically is a pain in the ass for an auto ride when they failed. Usually no warning signs of failure.

Boliden Dry Cell batteries were mentioned here so l read their site, claiming 40% longevity over a wet battery, also listened to some good hands on advice here and so bought one. We know that heat is the problem with batteries and l am in the habit now of opening the hood after a run to cool stuff down. Remember that when you turn off the motor after a run heat increases under the hood before it actually cools down.

Your Bosch, who actually makes it in LOS would be my thought. Or is the extra expense because of the name. smile.png

The recommended model for my car is the S4, not sure if it is wet or dry. There just happens to be a new Bosch service center that opened across the street from my office. Will drop by to ask and I'm sure they will tell me its better than other brands.

I did see a lot of members recommend Boliden, where are the sold in BKK? I haven't seen them before or maybe I'm just not looking in the right area.

Mine came from Bangkok and shipped up country. Don't know where cos daughter sorted it. They are a Swedish company's brand but are manufactured in LOS. Do a Net search and they are there in Bangkok. smile.png
