Speculative Thread

Didn't the female video referee rule out all Caledonians because she thought beer looked much better whenever she took off her glasses?

You've met the 'video referee' ... all that SC can do is speculate ... biggrin.png

Crazykids definition makes sense to me. Casually speaking without sufficient reason to reach a conclusion.

So in order to induce speculation an encouragement of speculation is required? I think it' s more constructive to speculate without a goal. The terms set in the OP will only block the feeling of freedom one has whilst speculating...

So i ask my self now why is it (in some cases)more desirable to speculate instead of judging and making conclusions?

Some on this forum pass judgement based on their own speculation, rather than an objective appraisal of the facts that have been placed before them. Perhaps because they feel obliged to reach a conclusion, but more likely because they have an opinion that they would like to air (perhaps because it (their opinion) has become stale and mouldy

I would like to speculate why locally made toilet plungers are so cheap and collapse inward on the first push down?

Also, why do new bottles of Heinz Ketchup bottles make it so hard to get the dam_n stuff out the first time?

The ketchup bottle thing is to make us men feel wanted....how come you know about toilet plungers?

That is what cleaning ladies are for James....coffee1.gif

I'm speculating on when Smokie turned out be a misogynist biggrin.png

Yes i concur. And thanks a bunch because you answered my question as well. I agree with your speculation which could be (wrongly or rightly) understood as a conclusion to my statement. In addition i speculate people on TV feel obligated to reach a conclusion in order to state their manliness. In other words they consider the forum as a pecking order which could be seen as a pole (likes/hits/views) to willingly let their ego' s stroked in some strange digital-synaptic viewpoint.

Archetypes come to mind now... Very stimulating for my brainfood.

The West End hotel on a Friday wis mair mah thing....good folksy rock mostly...some blues occasionally.

I'm convinced in any case that it is cheaper.....just for speculations sake naturally.
