Rainy Season Mould, Idea'S Anyone?

Featured Replies

Tried keeping fan on, hanging clothes outside, but the 72 hours we had of constant rain here in Chiang Mai is creating silly humidity. Blankets, pillows, wood, sofa, everything smells and has mould. Have heard people talk of a Mould eater heater but can't find one. Help. I want to feel fresh, not damp and smell mouldy. annoyed.gif

Try silica gel or a dehumidifier. :)

you might have to use a lot of it by the sound of it, but pots of salt around the place does it,

Or buckets of sand, not filled to the top.

occasional use of Air Con or at least the dehumidifier settings they have I suspect is the only way to go in this climate with High Humidity.

Should be able to find a portable unit

try a new deodorant and keep yourself fresh and musky!

Dehumidifier is the best way. A portable one you can move from room to room. You open the door of your closet, open the drawers , you put it right in front and you turn it on until the reservoir is full.

And for your fragile electronic items like cameras, watches ... you store them in hermetic boxes

I've done the calculations on this, none of the salt , sand or dehumidifiers work as well as screwing up balls of newspaper for removing water. Air con is the only real /expensive alternative
