500,000 Baht burglary of Japanese occupied room in South Pattaya

PATTAYA:--A Japanese Resident at a South Pattaya apartment complex lost the equivalent of around 500,000 Baht in Japanese currency and personal items on Sunday after his room was broken into.

Police were called to the Green Lantern Apartments in Soi Bongkot and to room number 4 on the second floor, occupied by Mr. Makoto Yamasaki aged 43. The front door had been forced open and a money bag contained within his room safe had been emptied of all cash and Mr. Yamaski’s personal items had been strewn across the room.

Hotel staff reported the swift exit of two Middle-Eastern men who occupied a 3rd floor room, earlier in the night. They had only checked in earlier in the day and because they intended to stay for 24 hours a registration document for the two men was not completed according to Hotel staff who did provide Police with CCTV images
