brilliant at what they do [ carbon-charcoal portraits] well most of them, but does anyone know of an artist who may be able to draw architecture in the same medium or perhaps a steam train, spitfire etc,. so far the 2 ive tried, no luck at all.

Have you been down to the night bizarre, across from kalare, downstairs? There's about 10-20 guys working down there. It wouldn't take long to ask around.

I would hardly call them artists, that is why the OP is having a hard time finding someone to do something different. These people can copy a picture, they use a mathematical grid formula for rendering. I had a buddy who used to do those kind of portraits in the malls. He couldn't draw anything other than portraits though.

if you go to any of the areas where the artists work, there isn't many drawings around of architecture etc, almost all are portraits which is fine, and most are pretty incredible, but finding one who can do what i want is going to be a problem i think.

Hit the local art material supply stores and put up some notices. Also head over to the CMU art gallery at the bottom end of Nimmana Haeminda Rd. They are connected to the fine arts program (obviously) and probably could lead you to some working artists.

Try giving them a picture of a building,a steam train,a spitfire see how they go,I think The Mona Lisa was copied from something the artist saw.

yep tried that with 2 artists not successful, although they claimed they could do it.
