To Rent An House Or Appartment

Featured Replies

Looking to rent a 1bed with living and kitchen for six months must be furnished, is it better to rent a small house or an apartment? Not too expensive but also better security?

If you're a fairly new arrival in Chiang Mai then you probably want to stay a bit central; so that's mostly apartments then that are up for rent, and most of those will not have a whole lot of space, or may not have full kitchen. (Some do of course). 6 months rent is not usually an issue for an apartment rental, but many houses would rent by the year.

What sort of budget do you have, and which months, roughly?

As Winnie says, apartment probably better short term. We've just moved from a very nice condo in Suan Dok, off Suthep Rd - walk almost everywhere, that was FF and had a an adequate kitchen @ 12k monthly rental with internet and cable TV. All built-ins, separate living area suits one or 2 persons, and excellent security.

We've moved to a house, 12 month lease, a bit ot of town.

Looking to spend around 8000TB, will NOT stay whole year, but would like to keep the place to myself. will sign up for one year, but must be fully furnished including TV, washing machine etc. Rent payment will be scheduled using Kbank. Leaving for Samui in Sept. So may be start in Nov.

What you all think?

I think if you are going to leave it set with no one in it for 6 months you would best do with a condo for security reasons

If you not here all year around you should get a condo with 24 hour security or for a house in a mooban. We will get some apartments in today, if you like contact me with your mail, I let you know what we have

You can also look thru http://www.buyrentchiangmai.com there is not all what we have but have a look
