Thai Post Ems

Featured Replies

Does Thai Post have special EMS document envelopes? If yes, do all post branches have them or do you have to get from one of the main branches? I have several documents I need to send to the U.S. I want to get the special document rate of 600 baht for EMS.

Whenever I use EMS I go to the local village post office and pick the size I want.

I would tend to assume all post offices are the same.

Was it a regular envelope you had to buy or a special EMS envelope?

If you're sending by EMS yes Thai Post will issue you a EMS envelope but you don't need to buy it they supply it free.

Thanks. That's what I needed to know. I will go visit my local post office tomorrow to get an EMS way bill and a document envelope.

I think you will find that all envelopes and boxes are bar-coded and priced according to size and that you actually will have to pay for it.

You don't have to use a special envelope for EMS. Only complete the form.

My local post office did have two sizes of plastic EMS envelopes they provide for free. One around a B5 size and one large one. They are good envelopes with very strong peal and stick adhesive to seal them. And being plastic it protects the contents from moisture.

The Envelopes and boxes are not barcoded however the tracking that goes on them is

Yes if you want a box or envelope then you need to pay for this from the PO counter however the plastic EMS envelopes are supplied for free

i was wondering this exact thing....as ems should have document envelope free, but i never see them. i figured they keep them away from the counter to ward off freeloaders.

in usa, they now print logo on the brown inside of the priority mail envelopes and boxes. too many people were flipping the box inside out and using it as packing material for non-priority mail items. go figure.

Yep, behind the counter at my post office. Just need to request one and an international waybill. Here are photos of the two envelopes they gave me.
