Looking For A Good Cardiologist – Pattaya / Sri Racha Area

tried to find my INR value in one of the old reports. result = mai mee, even those which were done in Germany and Switzerland. will now ask cardio on wednesday why it was never tested.

I think it only affects people who take warfarin to prevent rejection of an 'alien object' in the heart - such as a metal valve. I was told that If I had been given a valve made from a pig or cow, I wouldn't need to take it. But they only last 10 years, whereas mine is for life.

But I'm sure your specialist can give you a more informed explanation.

BTW - I too am going on Wednesday - who knows, we might run into each other and swap heart notes...laugh.png

I take Orfarin, which is the local brand name for warfarin. The meds come in 5mg and 3 mg tablets and I take 2.5mg (1/2 tab) Mon-Fri and 5mg sat-Sun.

I think you must be taking a different med as I can't get 1mg or 2mg doses of warfarin.

What are you taking?

My appointment is for 1 pm

what's the verdict Mobi?

So far so good.

He accepted my own blood test results, (done at a local lab), my own blood pressure readings etc and had them all scanned into my records. He also accepted a day old INR blood test result, which the last specialist refused to look at and had insisted on me doing a new one.

We had a pretty good talk and he has adjusted my meds a bit.

Total bill 850 Baht, so no complaints there.

I see him again next Wednesday.

Question for meatboy and Naam,

I am now 12 weeks post op, and a couple of days ago I did some moderate physical activity for 2-3 hours when I was helping my gf clear out our spare room and move some furniture around a bit. In the end I had to stop as I was completely exhausted, dizzy, breathless and felt quite ill.

Something similar happened, but not so extreme the next day when I spent a long time walking around a large hardware store.

So do I still have a long way to go in the recovery process, or should I be concerned?

It all seem to have happened since I had a bad chest infection, the infection is long gone but I still seem to be quite weak and get breathless very quickly, whereas before the infection I felt much more robust. But I didn't do anything like clearing out a room, so not too sure how strong I was.

How were you, 12 weeks out?

that's when it slowly started to get better. what you are describing seems, based on my experience, quite normal to me.
