Anyone Else Having Problems With Hotmail?

For the last several days I have been having problems sending emails using Hotmail. First I get a message I am not connected when I am and then it takes a few minutes to type in a message and then get it to send. I'm using 3bb and everything else is working fine, just this problem with Hotmail.

Anyone else getting the same thing or is it just me?

They are migrating to a new platform called outlook so I guess in this accounts will be affected in a few spots here and there worldwide for such a big change

Yes, I am having problems with hotmail, here in San Kamphaeng. For over a week, maybe two weeks. Takes forever to load, and sometimes as said previously, says I'm not connected, but I am. I'm getting a little irritated about it, may have to change email account if this keeps up

ha ha you use Hotmail. gedouddathere man. My account ( hardly ever used, kept it for sentimental reasons) got hacked, I can no longer access my account and all my friends get 'make iit biggger' or some such crap from me and hotmail won't let me delete my account. You only have a Hotmail address because, many moons ago, Microsoft told you to get one.

So no problems here and this proves that my Hotmail is still functioning correctly.

i have worse problems with gmail, phantom emails get sent out of my gmail account...only when i get a mailer daemon reply back indicating that the message could not be delivered did i know about the issue.

I like the idea of free Word,Excel and Powerpoint but how do you get it via Outlook. Is it easy to find. Thanks

Those are web based apps in Skydrive ("built-in..."). You have to have computer based versions to work offline I think.

Whats to be confused you enter hotmail and go to the inbox click on a email and it opens up.

Then suddenly you enter hotmail and wait awhile to get into the inbox. You click on a email wait a while and finally opens up.

Is it hotmail or your carrier. I just put in my air stick for AIS and no more waiting and waiting and waiting like I was doing on 3BBB

What has my lack of experience with Microsoft Word got to do with it?

Well it sounds good but in practice hotmail has got worse. What used to automatically go to junk does not always do that now I am getting a lot of it in my inbox now.

Have you checked your settings?... I keep saying since it has changed to outlook.com it is much better for me.

Maybe it is worse for you. It is better for me. So out of you and I that is 50/50. To say Hotmail is worse you would have to know a lot more peoples' experience.

You can also change the interface back to Hotmail if you like.

What you say is true but in the last month or so my hotmail has got a lot worse. Average one a day in my inbox that used to go to the junk automatically. Used to be lless than one a month got into my inbox.

I find if I move it over to junk mail I can hold my pointer on it without pressing the button and it will give the email address that it came from. For some reason I can't do that in the inbox.

I've been locked out of my most important hotmail account. I know it's a result of a hyper sensitive spam filter.........I get messages daily from a major website that filters the first contacts that I get. That is the source of the problem....hotmail thinks I'm being spammed

Anyway after a 20 question id process I need to wait 5 - 7 days for human intervention or lose the account forever.

I think hotmail is finished.......

Will this still stop a virus if you open it up that much?

If something needs e-mail and/or you opening something then it isn't a virus by definition. But also other malware only causes trouble when you run some attached program, or conceivably if you visit a website link contained in the e-mail while using some horribly outdated and non-updated operating system and browser.

Either way, it's impossible that opening an e-mail and showing headers (especially on Gmail or other web-based e-mail) causes any kind of malware trouble.

Viruses are basically gone in this day and age, and other malware needs your active participiation to cause trouble. (Like, running an application from an untrusted source, or visiting a specifically doctored website that exploits a weakness in some browser plug-in)
