Cost To Furnish 1 Bed Condo

Featured Replies

Hi,

Need to get an idea as how much would cost to furnish an 1 bed condo, say average fridge, Queen bed, microwave, small table with 4 chairs, 40" TV, a small sofa set, minimum cutlery's and may be few curtains etc, nothing special required.

Any idea, some of you out there must have done it in the past?

Also care to recommend a good solicitor to help me with condo purchase please?

Thanks in Advance..

Depends where you do your shopping. Its like asking what does it cost to live in Thailand thats an open ended question. Just start shopping around and compare prices is the easy way.

Costs are always difficult to estiamte depends of quality etc

I bought a 40in Sony tv 16k

Estimate for bed 15 - 20k

Fridge 8k - 10k

Microwave 10K - 15K

The rest 30K

Budget 150K - 200k FOR BETTER QUALITY

Lots of shops to choose from

Most basic avalable would be 50,000 ish

Decent, nothing to be ashamed of 100,000 range

Very nice quality 300.000 +

Thanks guys, care to recommend a good and reasonable (cost wise) Solicitor via PM please?

I'm about to rent a small place and looking for the same info.

I have been told by a long-term resident that there is one store which sells new electrical goods which have been recently superseded at way below the price of newer models.

I'm about to find which place this is, and if you send me a message, I'll pass that info on.

Is it my imagination, or are TV sets here much more expensive than in Australia?

No, they're the same price here. And rent somewhere furnished, easier.

average fridge - B10k - Any supermarket, Nayom Panich, Siam TV. Fridge freezer.

Queen bed - B20k - For matress, supermarket car parks, for frame, Lamphun furniture shops south east of the town or Baan Tawaii.

Microwave - B3k - As for fridge

Small table with 4 chairs - B5k - Same as bed frame.

40" TV - B15k - As from fridge.

A small sofa set - B20k - Not bought one, but from what I've seen, a good one is in this price range. B2k for a basic one.

Minimum cutlery's and may be few curtains etc - B7k - to round it nicely up to B80k.

So 80,000B.

If your ok with the Fiberboard stuff, you can get a

Desk, a few "book shelves, a wardrobe, bed frame, and a decent mattress for about 20k

A cheap pleather coach is 2-3k 5-7 for a cheap cloth one, 10-15k for something better

electronics, that depends on the brand and what you need.

Sofa set – 8k-50k depend on size and design

Actually, most of this just one day finish to get it, because I just have done my ownhousing design and full furnished was select by myself but for me all of them are modern style it quite expensive, I do a business for Home modern design and condo, house renovation as well. if you need some more information just PM. or 084-1748827.

The OP could check out the on-line classified ads of this site, plus those of the Chiang Mai Expats Club and the Chiang Mai Community Church. There are always people leaving Chiang Mai who have entire households of gently used stuff they are looking to sell at a reasonable price.

Yep, this time of year is a good time to look and check CMCC for garage sales.

The rainy season seems to create an Exodus, many are missionaries.
