Attempted armed robbery at South Pattaya Gold Shop

PATTAYA:--A woman desperate to raise money to pay for medical care for her seriously ill Father, was arrested after she attempted an armed robbery at a South Pattaya Gold Shop on Sunday Night.

Police were called to the See Tong Kum Gold Shop on the South Pattaya Road and arrested Khun Nisar aged 23 and seized a knife used by the suspect during the attempted robbery. She was placed in handcuffs and Police were powerless to stop local market vendors and friends of the shop owner from assaulting her.

Eventually Police took back control and determined that she had walked into the shop and demanded the owner, Khun Somsee aged 49, hand over gold necklaces as quickly as possible. At this point, nearby market vendors saw what was happening and detained the suspect until Police arrived. Khun Nisar confirmed that her Father needed an urgent heart operation,
